Lisa Curry is officially 60 years old and she’s celebrated the incredible milestone surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
The famed former Olympian took to social media on Sunday, May 15, to announce the news as she shared a number of intimate snaps of her and close family and friends, including well-known celebrities including Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson.
Curry paid special tribute to her husband Mark Tabone as she thanked him for organising the special “surprise” milestone celebration in her honour.
“OMG I’m 60,” Curry wrote.

“My beautiful hubby organised a surprise party with all of my fabulous friends who have been such an amazing part of my very varied life. We had so much fun and way too many cocktails.
“A big night for a big occasion. Bring on the next 30 years. Thank you Mark xxx.”
Tabone took to his own Instagram to share a glimpse of his wife’s reaction to the surprise party, showing a bewildered Curry clutching her head in astonishment.
“Happy Birthday my beautiful @lisacurry , Surprise party last night with 60 of her favourite people! She thought we were having an intimate dinner at home but then BANG!!” Tabone wrote.

Fans were quick to comment on the posts as they commended Curry for reaching the special milestone as a few shared their own experiences with turning 60, whilst others praised a “deserving” Curry for her strength and resilience over the past few years.

A number of fans referenced Curry’s late daughter Jaime as they wished Curry love and support on her special day.

Multiple celebrity figures also took to social media to offer their appreciation for the former Olympian and icon.

“Hope you had the most glorious celebration my darling friend. The next 60 will be everything & more. All the good stuff. Love you jx,” TV presenter and personality, Julia Morris, commented.
Former Miss Universe, Tegan Martin, commented on her regret upon not being able to attend the surprise party.
“Wish I could have made it! Kiz and I want to come up and visit soon ❤️,” Martin wrote.
Curry took to Instagram once more on Monday, March 16, to share a more intimate snap of her alongside close family members including her husband and two of her children, daughter Morgan Gruell, son Jett Kenny, and Morgan’s husband, Ryan Gruell.
The touching post saw Curry make reference to daughter Morgan’s expecting baby, to which the former Olympian revealed she was “playing the waiting game” in anticipation of the family’s new addition.

Curry recently released her personal memoir titled, Lisa Curry, A memoir – 60 years of life, love & loss, which has since become a number one best-seller.

In the memoir, Curry details her experiences with immense loss, particularly the tragic loss of her daughter Jaime to a gruelling illness in late 2020.
