Following the tragic loss of entertainment legend Olivia Newton-John, fellow showbiz icon Patti Newton has joined the chorus of voices who have delivered moving tributes to the Grease star.

Much like she does when she honours her late husband, Bert Newton, Patti took to Instagram where she posted a throwback photo of Newton-John and Bert as they attended the TV Week Logie Awards in 1982.

“This beautiful lady has been an inspiration to us all. Always in our hearts,” she captioned the photo

Patti went on to subtly acknowledge her late husband writing: “Look after her Bert. Love you both xxxx.”

Fans joined celebrities in praising Patti for her touching tribute while fondly remembering Bert and Newton-John.

“Love you Pattie,” Newton-John’s niece Tottie Goldsmith said.

“Awww beautiful Patti – you made me cry,” Australian entertainer Ronda Burchmore said.

“Two beautiful Angels and two truly amazing human beings. This world is so much poorer without them. Boy I’m thankful for the memories!”

“You couldn’t get a better welcome in heaven if your Bert is waiting for her,” one fan wrote.

“Beautiful, selfless words while in your own heartache @pattinewtonofficial .. true class and kindness. God bless you.”

Australians are still in mourning following the devastating loss of Newton-John who passed away following a long battle with cancer.

The entertainment icon died peacefully surrounded by her family at her Southern California ranch, according to her husband John Easterling who announced her passing via social media.

“Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” he wrote.

“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the @onjfoundation.

“Olivia is survived by her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall.”

Sadly, Patti also was forced to bid farewell to her beloved partner Bert after he passed away on October 30 at age 83 after a long health battle while undergoing palliative care at a private clinic in Melbourne.

The Australian public and entertainment world mourned the entertainment legend during a state funeral in mid-November.
