You know what they say: you can take the man out of the disco but you can’t take the disco out of the man! Forty-three years after the iconic film Grease was released, John Travolta has recreated his memorable finger-gun dance from the hand-jive number ‘You’re the One that I Want’, but this time he’s replaced his leading lady Olivia Newton-John with another special woman in his life.
The snippet of John, 66, and his only daughter, Ella, appeared in a star-studded Super Bowl advertisement for American gardening company Scotts Lawn. The cheeky ad saw John struggling to set up his phone in a tripod before filming himself and Ella, 20, showing off their best finger-gun and lasso-twirling moves.

The pair then freestyle danced for a moment before the ad cut to renowned chef Martha Stewart who said what everyone was thinking: “He’s still got it.” The advertisement, which also starred Rocky actor Carl Weathers and The Office actor Leslie Baker, ended with John dancing for the camera showing that no matter his age, he’s still the star of the show!
Fans have gushed over John’s smooth moves with many commenting on the Youtube clip that he was looking better than ever! One wrote: “Oh my god so cute! So glad to see his daughter just being a kid! (or acting like it) Love the natural John Travolta hair!”
Another said: “I love this commercial! Want more Travolta!”
John has stayed out of the spotlight since his wife and mother of his three children, Kelly Preston, tragically passed away in July 2020 from breast cancer at age 57. Since then, the family has managed to band together with Ella sharing a photo on Instagram of her and her dad spending New Years Eve together.
The photo saw the two dressed to the nines with Ella donning a gorgeous black high-necked dress and John looking smart in a tuxedo. She captioned the photo: “Happy New Year everyone! Sending so much love to you all.”

Commenters wished the pair well with one writing: “Happy New Year. I know this must’ve been a difficult one for you all. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.” While another noted how closely Ella was taking after her mum saying: “Wow, looking just like your Mom [sic].”
