Fans go wild over Joan Collins’ ‘inspirational’ bikini-clad body

Hollywood legend Joan Collins has shown fans that rocking a bikini body has no age limit as she caught some rays while on holiday at Saint-Tropez.

The 89-year-old took to Instagram to share a photo and video of herself poolside with her husband, Percy Gibson, 57. In the video, the Golden Globe winner shows off her fit figure in a powder blue, halter-neck bikini.

“Nothing like having #funinthesun!” Collins captioned the post.

Collins’ followers quickly went wild over the video, filling her comment section with praise, with one user saying “you are an inspiration to us all”.

“I love Blondie! Blondie and Joan Collins on Instagram—my worlds are colliding! I’m so glad you’re enjoying life!”

“You are ageless Joan!!”

While others applauded the former pinup girl’s choice of swimwear.

“I love the fact that you still wear a bikini – I’m like you, age should not define you.”

“She loves a bikini alright and still turning heads today, this lady could wear a bin liner and make it look fabulous.”

Collins also shared a snap of her cosied up to her husband of 20 years.

“When it’s 100 degrees in the shade I am grateful to have a pool,” Collins wrote.

The couple previously wowed fans when they stepped out together for the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards in 2021 at Claridge’s Hotel in London, looking absolutely flawless.

Collins dazzled onlookers in a glittery gown as she took to the stage to accept the Icon Award, alongside her dashing boy toy husband. Not to be outdone Collins put on a show for crowds yet again after she attended Vanity Fair’s 2022 Oscars after-party, where she radiated sophistication in a shimmering, beaded silver gown with a bodice covered in diamontes.

Collins recently told Hello that her showstopping looks and secret to ageing gracefully were due to her being “born with the happy gene and the energy gene”.

“What makes me happiest is seeing my children happy,” she said.

“Honestly, life makes me happy and I’m very aware of how lucky I am.

“I’ve worked hard all my life, nobody has given me anything on a plate, but I wake up each morning thinking how fortunate I am. I’m very fit and healthy now—knock on wood—and I try to look after myself.”
