Springsteen fans, get ready for a major treat—the Boss has something special in store!
New Jersey’s favourite son is about to release seven never-before-heard albums, showcasing music he’s recorded over the past 35 years.
Titled II: The Lost Albums, this massive collection includes 74 unreleased tracks that will “fill in rich chapters of Springsteen’s expansive career timeline, while offering invaluable insight into his life and work as an artist.”
The project features a film soundtrack for a movie that was never made called Faithless; a “mid-century noir” project called Twilight Hours and an LP named Inyo, which is full of “richly-woven border tales.”
In addition, Springsteen obsessives will get to hear the lost album LA Garage Sessions ’83, which is described as “a crucial link” between 1982’s Nebraska and the 1984 mega-hit, Born in the U.S.A.
The collection will also include a personal introduction from Springsteen, distinctive packaging for each previously unreleased record, liner notes on each lost album from essayist Erik Flannigan and a 100-page cloth-bound hardcover book featuring rare photos.
Springsteen took to social media to announce the news to fans, explaining: “I often read about myself in the 90s as having some lost period or something. Really, I was working the whole time.
“During the pandemic, what I did for that period of time was I finished everything I had in my vault.
“So this is Tracks II: The Lost Albums. (They) are records that were full records. Some even to the point of being mixed and not released.
“Over a period of time, I built up a small collection of full albums that, for one reason or another, never got put out.”

The announcement comes after Springsteen assured fans that they’ll be enjoying his iconic hits for many more years after the Born to Run hitmaker emphatically shut down retirement rumours.
During a 2024 performance in Philadelphia, Springsteen told those in attendance that he “ain’t going anywhere” and that there will be “no farewell tour bullsh*t” in the coming years.
“We’ve been around for 50 f**king years and we ain’t quitting,” Springsteen told concertgoers.
“We ain’t doing no farewell tour bullsh*t. No farewell tour for the E Street Band.
“Farewell to what? Thousands of people screaming your name?
“Yeah, I wanna quit that.”
