‘Brilliant news’: King Charles and Princess Catherine return home following health challenges

In heartening news, Kensington Palace has announced that Catherine, the Princess of Wales, has been discharged from the London Clinic. Simultaneously, Britain’s monarch, King Charles, has also been released after undergoing planned treatments for an enlarged prostate.

Kensington Palace officially announced Princess Catherine’s return to the Windsor estate, marking the end of her two-week hospital stay.

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

“She is making good progress.

“The prince and princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Princess Catherine is expected to take some time off from public duties until after Easter. In the meantime, her husband, Prince William, the heir to the throne, has postponed his engagements to look after their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Royal enthusiasts around the world quickly took to social media to convey their joy over Catherine’s return home.

“‪Omg this is wonderful news!! I’m so happy that Her Royal Highness is back at home with her family! Thank God, I wish her a speedy recovery! We all love you, Catherine,” one wrote.

“So sorry she had to spend so many days away from the kids and so happy she’s back home now. The whole world loves her so much and may she have a fast recovery.”

In more good news for the Royal Family, King Charles, 75 was also discharged from the London Clinic after undergoing a planned corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate. The King, accompanied by his wife Queen Camilla, smiled and waved to well-wishers as he left the hospital.

Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming the good news.

“The King was this afternoon discharged from hospital following planned medical treatment and has rescheduled forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation,” the statement read.

“His Majesty would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days.”

Royal fans also celebrated King Charles’ return home, many wishing the monarch a “speedy recovery”.

“Wishing you a speedy recovery,” one wrote.

“I love our King. Get well soon your majesty.”
