Senior members of the royal family joined forces at the Queen’s Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night, putting on a glamorous display for one of the ritziest night on the royal calendar.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla, and the Queen all stepped out in their finest for the event and welcomed a host of international ambassadors and high commissioners to the palace.
The Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in a pale blue embellished gown as she joined husband Prince William for the annual white tie affair.
Catherine looked sensational in the etherial dress by British designer Jenny Packham, which featured a draped neckline and sheer cap sleeves.
She accessorised with pearl earrings and the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara, which previously belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, and proudly wore the yellow ribbon of the Queen’s Order pinned to her chest.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was equally radiant in a cream-and-gold gown as she greeted ambassadors and dignitaries from around the world. The 92-year-old monarch looked her typical elegant self in the glittering gown, which featured delicate floral patterns and tiers of lace.
She accessorised with a bold diamond necklace, and swapped out her favourite black leather handbag, which she is often pictured with, for a gold designer piece that matched her shoes.
Camilla was also the picture of elegance in a satin off-white evening coat, which she wore over an ivory dress. She completed the look with a lavish tiara and accessorised with her trademark pearl necklace.
According to multiple reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unable to attend the reception, as they had a prior commitment with the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund.
The palace reception, attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps based in London, supports the work of the royal family in representing the UK at home and abroad.

Earlier in the day, William and Catherine got right into the Christmas spirit, as they hosted a festive bash, complete with Santa costumes, fake snow and Christmas jumpers, for the families of personnel from RAF Coningsby and RAF Marham.
The duchess looked stunning as she stepped out for the event in a pleated red tartan skirt which fell to her ankles. The mum-of-three paired the striking skirt with a simple black button-up sweater and a pair of black heeled boots as she wrapped up against the bitter British winter weather.
