Sophie, Countess of Wessex, never puts a foot wrong when it comes to her impeccable style, and the 56-year-old has wowed crowds again, this time stepping out in a chic floral dress for a string of royal engagements on Monday.

Sophie, who was accompanied by her husband Prince Edward — who was dressed in a tartan kilt — first visited Forfar Golf Club, before making a short trip to Utopia Costumes, in Forfar, Scotland.

Sophie looked stunning in the bold floral print dress, which she teamed with high heels by Penelope Chilvers, a smart navy blazer and a small blue clutch. The countess wore her hair up in a soft effortless bun and accessorised with orange dangling earrings.

Sophie’s outing comes just a few weeks after she stepped out in a number of fabulous outfits at the Royal Ascot. One of our favourites being the combined florals and feathers ensemble she wore on day two. The eye-catching outfit consisted of a purple floral skirt paired with a white chiffon blouse. Sophie finished off the look with a wide-brimmed hat covered with purple feathers. She wore her hair in a sophisticated up-do and accessorised with a purple snakeskin clutch and nude-toned shoes.

Meanwhile, on the first day, Sophie stepped out in a stunning blush-pink gown by London-based designer ARoss Girl X Soler, and a Jane Taylor hat in the same colour. The dress featured long sleeves and was cinched in at the waist with a sash. She accessorised with a nude-toned clutch and shoes.

Sophie’s mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, is also in Scotland and was pictured on Monday at the Palace of Holyroodhouse with her grandson Prince William. Earlier in the day, the pair visited a Scottish institution, the AG Barr factory. According to the royal family’s official Instagram account, the company has been making soft drinks since it was founded by Robert Barr in 1875.
