What a transformation! Sharon Osbourne debuts new look as she embraces grey hair

If there’s two things Sharon Osbourne is best known for it’s being the wife of ’70s Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and, of course, her bold red hair colour.

The 67-year-old star – who has worked in music management and sat on the judging panel of TV shows such as The X Factor and America’s Got Talent – had to dye her hair once a week to maintain her vibrant colour, according to her stylist Jack Martin, so its no wonder she’s finally ditched the dye and decided to embrace her natural grey locks.

Sharon looked sensational as Martin  – whose niche is helping his clients go grey – showed off the results of the reality star’s transformation online, revealing the change took a total of eight hours.

And the mother-of-three looked unrecognisable in the social media snap as she smiled for the camera, showing off her fresh new ‘do, which had been dyed a platinum shade of grey and blow dried into a classic coiffed style.

Alongside the picture, the US-based hair stylist wrote: “Another great day in my career welcoming the most beautiful and elegant talk show host and entertainer @sharonosbourne for a complete transformation.

“Sharon has 100% white hair and she was colouring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years. She explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation a long time ago but every time she attempts it ends up with a disaster. Sharon was very tired of colouring her hair once a week and she was obligated to since she is on tv almost every day hosting her popular tv show @thetalkcbs .[sic]”

He added: “I didn’t promise Sharon anything but I told her I will try my best, it took me a total of 8 hours from start to finish to get her to a platinum blonde so she doesn’t have to be committed to colouring her hair once a week anymore. I had great time spending my day off with this gorgeous, humble, and sweet soul.”

Sharon isn’t the only star to have embraced the style in recent weeks either, as just last month Hollywood icon Jane Fonda also debuted a strikingly different look as she presented the Best Picture award at this year’s Oscars ceremony sporting a pixie-style cropped ‘do in a stunning shade of grey.

And the Nine to Five star even trusted the same hairdresser to transform her look ahead of the Academy Awards. Stylist Jack Martin shared images of both of the A-list transformations on his Instagram page and people gushed over the impressive results.

Jane, 82, also shared a photograph of herself from the ceremony on social media and fans went wild over her new look. One wrote: “The hair is amazing.” Another gushed: “You look so beautiful!! You are my favorite actor!”

While another said: “Just when I thought I couldn’t love you more…. you and your silver hair are SPECTACULAR! Love you silver sister!!”
