Sarah Ferguson is no stranger to wearing glitzy and glamorous gowns, but she’s proven that you don’t need a lot of money to make a plain outfit look stylish.
Most women have a simple black dress hidden somewhere in their wardrobe. The fashion staple is perfect for anything, ranging from a trip down to the supermarket or even for a fancy night out with friends. The trick is teaming it up with the right accessories, depending on the occasion.
During a recent night out on the town in London, the Duchess of York showed just how it’s done, teaming her simple black dress with an eye-popping pink blazer jacket. Almost instantly, the 58-year-old took the dress from boring to stylish. Completing the look with a cute pair of pink slip-on shoes, a chunky handbag and a shiny gold necklace, the mother-of-two added her own personality to the look and working the accessories for her own unique style.
As always, Sarah wore her luscious red locks down in a fashionable style for her visit to Lous Lou’s private club in Mayfair. She also opted for a more natural make-up look for the outing. Although glamorous, the look was a far cry from some of her other red carpet outfits.

One of her favourites has been a clingy red dress, which has made an appearance at three different events this year alone. Proving she’s as normal as the rest of society, Sarah isn’t afraid of wearing the same outfit again and again. Most recently, she attended the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival in Cagliari, Italy, where she joined film industry elites in her ravishing fitted frock.
Again, she proved that with the right accessories, in this case a pair of gold drop earrings and a multi-coloured clutch bag, any look can be personalised.
When she’s not attending ritzy events or enjoying herself in London, the Duchess is celebrating the success of daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. She took to social media earlier this week to praise her daughters, who were recently in New York City hosting an event to raise awareness about slavery.
