While “Markle Mania” is still taking over the world a week after the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Windsor, it’s refreshing to see some of the other royal families around the globe out and about.
Queen Letizia of Spain, 45, proved she was just as much a style icon as Meghan when she stepped out in Logrono for a military parade to commemorate Armed Forces Day on Saturday. The mother-of-two looked pretty in pink as she rocked an elegant floral coat for the occasion.
Her bright pink coat with double breasted buttons stole the show as Queen Letizia attended the ceremony with husband King Felipe VI, 50. Her long legs were on full display, complete with a gorgeous pair of pink high heel shoes to match her coat.

Similar to the Duchess of Sussex, Queen Letizia wore her luscious brunette locks in a bun and opted to let her natural beauty shine with minimal makeup. To top off her look, The Spanish royal carried around a clutch bag that perfectly matched her shoes and coat, as well as a stunning pair of green and pink earrings to top off the look. Meanwhile, husband King Felipe VI looked as handsome as ever in his navy blue uniform, complete with several gold medals.

Spain’s Armed Forces Day is similar to Anzac Day, Remembrance Day or Veterans Day in the United States of America and is a day to honour the country’s military forces. The official day of remembrance began in 1978 and is typically celebrated on the closest Saturday to Spain’s feast-day of Saint Ferdinand, King, which falls on May 30. It’s not the first time Letizia has attended an event close to her heart.

In 2017, both Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI made quite the impression in Spain when they assisted victims of last year’s deadly Barcelona terror attacks. The Spanish royals visited the Mar de Barcelona hospital, where they spent time with hundreds of victims who were injured when a van purposely hit pedestrians along the bustling Las Ramblas boulevard.
The Queen in particular spent plenty of time with children impacted by those attacks and was praised at the time for how she interacted with the kids. A mother of 12-year-old Princess Leonor and 11-year-old Princess Sofia, Letizia melted hearts when she crouched down to speak individually to the kids and when she shook their hands and showered them in affection.
