Princess Mary has launched back into royal duties this month following the outbreak of the coronavirus, as the country works to get back on its feet, and this week she stepped out looking as lovely as ever for the opening of a new nature attraction in Denmark.

The 48-year-old beamed as she attended the event in West Jutland to celebrate the launch of Naturkraft – a facility which aims to teach people about green change and the benefits of nature play and sensory experiences. Her royal highness helped cut the string to the 50 hectare property, which in the future will be a space for families to learn about climate and sustainability.

“The Naturkraft Foundation, which runs the experience universe, aims to inspire more sustainable behaviour,” a post on the Danish royal family’s official Instagram page read. “In Naturkraft, a number of activities can be experienced both indoors and outdoors, and the area was first seen by curious guests immediately after today’s opening ceremony.”

Mary sported a casual, yet classy ensemble for the outdoor outing, wearing a blue shirt, cream blazer and black pants. Meanwhile, she swapped heels for flats and kept her brunette locks down and slightly waved. In photos shared to social media, the mother-of-four smiled and waved happily at royal fans as she entered the new space, while in another snap she joined two children in cutting a beautiful flower string to mark the attraction’s opening.

Since joining the royal family many years ago, Mary has gained quite the following from the Danish community and it’s clear they were happy to see the princess out and about again following what’s been a difficult few months for everyone around the world. Many took to social media to commend the princess for her commitment to helping others and dedication to the royal family.

“Great day for the whole municipality,” @louise.toftegaard92 commented on Instagram. “Congratulations to the people around Naturkraft and all those who have worked tirelessly for the project for the past 14 years. The result is nothing short of amazing, and today it was culminate with our future queen coming and opening the park.”

“The Crown Princess is the most beautiful representative of the royal house. Always fresh, curious and sincerely excited,”@cillelou82  said. While @fritidsfotograf.sidsel added: “We get no more natural crown princess than Mary.”

This isn’t the first time Mary has stepped out since restrictions were eased. Last week, the royal recommenced royal duties and attended her first official outing since the pandemic was declared, with a visit to a local museum.

The 48-year-old looked stunning in a summery ensemble, which included a floral patterned full-length skirt, paired with a simple white blouse. She completely the outing with a pair of light blue heels and carried a gold clutch in her hand as she inaugurated the Nordic region’s new museum for glass, Holmegaard Works.

Mary’s beautiful brunette locks were styled down with slight waves for the outing, while she accessorised with dangly, pearl earrings and a dainty silver necklace. The visit to the museum marked a special occasion for the community, with the museum telling the history of the Danes over the last 200 years through arts and crafts.

The new building is built on the Holmegaard Glassworks, which has been on the land since 1825, but was unfortunately forced to close in 2008. Thankfully, the furnaces and workshops from the old workshop were preserved and now serve as the museum’s core.

During her visit to the museum, the princess met with a number of the glass blowers, who are creating new and modern designs in the old workshops for the first time since 2008. Her royal highness was also given the opportunity to view one of the largest glass collections in the Nordic countries, with a whopping 42,000 pieces, and the world’s largest Kähler collection, which features more than 6,000 original Kähler objects.
