Glowing Catherine debuts chic new style on first visit since maternity leave

She’s been out of action since giving birth to Prince Louis in April and after several months out of the spotlight, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has returned to work.

The 36-year-old was all smiles as she greeted schoolchildren at Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in London for her latest royal engagement. The school gives children in the inner-city area of Paddington a unique chance to learn and engage with nature. Given the nature-theme of the school, Catherine opted for a casual and chic look that was perfect for the outdoors.

The mother-of-three, who is no stranger to glamorous frocks and stunning gowns, instead opted for a simple yet stylish look. She wore a skin-tight pair of brown skinny jeans for the visit.

Keeping her warm on the cool London day, the young royal opted for a trendy grey jumper and a matching khaki jacket. If that wasn’t enough, she also wore a fashionable pair of brown knee-high boots, as well as a chic silk shirt that could be seen under her jumper.

During the day, Catherine spent some quality time with the students of the school and saw first-hand the impact the Sayers Croft Trust was having on their physical and emotional wellbeing.

At one point, the Duchess happily sat down with several children for storytime. Catherine burst into fits of laughter when one little girl performed a trick with her drink.

Clearly impressed to be in the presence of royalty, other students showed off their arts and craft skills by making crowns for Catherine.

“Making leaf crowns with St Stephen’s School – The Duchess sees an example of the positive impact @SCTrust’s activities have on children’s emotional and physical wellbeing,” Kensington Palace said in a tweet.

Sticking to the theme of nature, Catherine also spent some of her day helping the children in the garden, while she was also photographed helping other children find bugs outdoors.

It looks like Catherine’s visit to the school will be the first of many royal engagements. Kensington Palace has already confirmed that she will join husband Prince William next week for the very first Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit. The event will see political figures, academics and policy-makers from all around the world join forces to discuss mental health.
