Julie Bishop has been bringing her glamorous style to red carpet events across Sydney this week, but her latest appearance at the Gold Dinner at Sydney Airport on Thursday night was by far her most incredible yet.
The former foreign affairs minister attended the annual charity gala for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation with her partner David Panton, and sported a set of show-stopping white gold and diamond jewellery from French luxury jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels. According to The Daily Mail, the elegant necklace she wore retails for $224,000 and the pair of matching earrings go for $41,000.
Bishop also showed off her impeccable fashion sense in a black floor-length gown that hugged her toned figure and featured a cut-out back. She finished off the outfit with a simple black evening bag and wore her hair swept up in an elegant up-do.
Weekend Today host Richard was also in attendance alongside his stunning partner Nicola Dale, who pulled out all the fashion stops in a metallic gold layered dress, which featured a plunging neckline and statement sleeves. The blonde beauty paired the dress with matching heels and accessorised with sparkly jewellery, while she wore her hair out swept to one side. Meanwhile, Richard looked dapper in a tuxedo. The pair have been dating for around a year now, after the television presenter parted ways with his former partner of two years Virginia Burmeister.
It looks like it’s been quite the busy week for Julie, who was pictured out and about earlier this week. On Wednesday night, the former pollie stepped out in a bright pink mini dress by Australian label Meraki Official for a night out in Manly, Sydney. The statement mini featured puff-sleeves, a style that was big in the 1980s and has since made a comeback in recent years, and stopped just above the knee, showing off her trim pins. She teamed the outfit with a sparkly clutch, gold jewellery, and for a change, wore her now-longer locks out straight.

Julie was pictured at the event alongside her partner David and former work colleague New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian, who stepped out in a black fitted skirt and dark green blouse matched with a spotted blazer.
