She wowed crowds on Tuesday night in a bright yellow Dolce & Gabbana gown, and Helen Mirren has done it again, this time stepping out in a chic white shirt dress for day two of the Cannes Film Festival. Helen, who was joined by husband of 24 years Taylor Hackford, was attending the screening of The Velvet Underground.
The English actress, 75, looked like a true style icon in the flattering dress, which was cinched in at the waist with a chunky black belt. She coordinated the outfit with a pair of stilettos and a matching headband, while she wore her silver locks pushed back in a low ponytail. She topped off the outfit with a gold Dolce & Gabbana clutch.
Meanwhile, Helen’s husband Taylor looked dapper in a navy-blue suit and white shirt.
Iconic French actress Isabelle Huppert, who’s appeared in a string of popular movies such as Greta, Elle, and Story of Women over the years, was also in attendance. The 68-year-old upped the fashion ante in a skin-tight full-length black gown, which she paired with diamond jewellery and black sunnies — looking every bit the fashionista.
The glamorous outing comes just a day after Helen led a string of stylish stars on the red carpet at the opening night of the world-renowned festival. Helen wowed in a bright yellow chiffon gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and flowing skirt. The neckline made the most of one of Helen’s best features, and showcased a stunning emerald necklace and matching earrings.
The actress topped off the outfit with matching yellow heels and a gold Dolce & Gabbana clutch. She opted to sweep her silver locks back into a high bun. Helen was attending the screening of Annette, a musical film starring Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard.
Others at the event, included American actress Andie MacDowell, 63, who looked equally stylish in a fitted silvery-blue dress, and Jodie Foster, 58, who kept things relatively simple in a fitted white column gown.
