After last year’s Covid-related cancellation, some of the world’s biggest film stars have come together for the 74th Cannes Film Festival in France, and actresses such as Helen Mirren, Andie MacDowell and Jodie Foster have pulled out all the fashion stops on the red carpet.
Helen, 75, stole the show at the event in a truly eye-catching number. The English actress wowed in a bright yellow chiffon gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and flowing skirt. The neckline made the most of one of Helen’s best features, and showcased a stunning necklace and matching earrings.
The actress topped off the outfit with matching yellow heels and a gold Dolce & Gabbana clutch. She opted to sweep her silver locks back into a high bun. Helen was attending the screening of Annette, a musical film starring Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard.
Meanwhile, American actress Andie, 63, looked equally stylish in a fitted silvery-blue dress trimmed with black and silver beads. The Groundhog Day star coordinated the outfit with strappy heels and a matching clutch, while she wore her natural grey locks out and in spectacular full waves.
Jodie, 58, kept things relatively simple in a fitted white column gown, which featured silver embellishments and two stylish slits near the top. She wore her hair out straight, accessorised with silver dangling earrings, and opted for minimal make-up.
The glamorous red carpet arrivals come two days after Helen was spotted arriving at Nice Airport in a striking ensemble. Helen paired a chic white-and-green checked skirt with a silver silk camisole and a green tie-waist cardigan. She accessorised with a light grey headband, a black bumbag and a pair of matching green sneakers, which gave the outfit a casual, effortless flair.
