Glenn Close, 71, steps out in sexy lace top for glitzy night out

She may be 71 but that hasn’t stopped Glenn Close from rocking some sexy outfits, including one quite revealing black lace top to a recent movie screening.

The actress looked stunning as she posed for photos at the New York screening of The Wife on Thursday, proving age isn’t a barrier in fashion.

Opting for a full black outfit the beauty wore a simple black pair of pants, a fitted black jacket and a lace top which revealed a hint of cleavage. Standing tall on the Red Carpet, Close chose to pair the ensemble with black heels, silver earrings and very natural looking makeup.

With a touch of blush and a soft pink lip, the elegant actress wore her short blonde locks curled to the side for an effortlessly chic look. 

The talented actress stars in the upcoming movie The Wife alongside her real-life daughter Annie Starke. Close plays the leading female role of Joan, a woman who has sacrificed everything for her husband and his career until he is about to be awarded the Nobel Prizez for his acclaimed and prolific body of work, while Starke takes on the role of a younger Joan, in flashback scenes.

Speaking on Today recently, the 71-year-old revealed what it was really like to share the spotlight with her daughter in the film that has already created Oscar buzz.

“I got out of town when she was filming all of that…she’s naturally talented, it is between her and the director…you don’t want your mum around for that,” she said. 

Sharing in her daughter’s special day recently, Close bucked tradition by wearing a beautiful off-white gown at the wedding.

The actress looked every bit the proud mother as she hosted guests at her glamorous multi-million-dollar Bedford Hills home in New York to watch her only child marry the man she loves in front of a host of celebrity guests.
