It’s no secret that Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband of 17 years Michael Douglas are one of the happiest couples in Hollywood, and the sweet pair looked very much in love as they celebrated Michael’s new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week.
Catherine, 49, and Michael, 74, looked as close as ever as they attended the unveiling ceremony in California on Tuesday. The pair, who are heading towards their 18th wedding anniversary, were all smiles as they were joined by Michael’s father Kirk Douglas and his son Cameron, for the special day.
Dressing for the occasion, Catherine didn’t disappoint in the style stakes as she stepped out in an elegant black-and-white spotted midi dress with matching stilettos. Meanwhile, Michael kept it classic in a navy suit paired with a white dress shirt and grey tie.
Catherine excitedly posted several videos on her Instagram before the big moment, sharing her pride over her husband’s momentous achievement.
“On our way to the Hollywood walk of fame ceremony. My hubby is getting his star to go along with his hands and feet! Hooray for Hollywood,” she captioned the video.

Michael’s successful acting career spans five decades with hits like The China Syndrome (1979), Fatal Attraction (1987), Wall Street ( 1987), The War Of The Roses (1989), Basic Instinct (1992), Falling Down (1993) and Traffic (2000) earning him accolades and praise along the way.
Michael made several mentions of his dad throughout his speech at the ceremony and grew emotional while speaking about the impact he’s had on his life.

“My dad is here,” he said, holding back tears. “In a month, Kirk turns 102 years old. So those of you who took the under on him taking 80, you lost a long time ago. It means so much to me, dad, that you’re here today.
“Thank you for your advice, inspiration, and I’ll say it simply and with all my heart: I’m so proud to be your son.”
The tight-knit family often share loved-up photos of each other, especially when the grandchildren and Great-Grandpa Kirk are around.

Michael became a first-time grandfather earlier this year when Cameron’s wife Viviane gave birth to daughter, Lua. Cameron has shared several photos to his social media over the months showing Grandpa Michael and Great-Grandpa Kirk fawning over the little girl.
One beautiful snap shows Lua reaching out to touch Kirk’s hand as he keeps a watchful eye on her from his armchair. Lua and Kirk share a particularly special bond thanks to the little girl’s middle name, Izzy.

Kirk was actually born Issur Danielovitch and was known as Izzy for most of his life. Cameron and Viviane chose the special name to pay tribute to the family patriarch and ensure his legacy lives on through the rest next generation of Douglases.
