She’s been spending the last few months out of the limelight following the birth of her third child Prince Louis, but Catherine has now stolen the show on her first joint royal engagement with her husband Prince William following her maternity leave – and she couldn’t look happier.
Showing her thrifty side once again, the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, recycled a stunning lilac Emilia Wickstead dress as she attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit in London with William on Tuesday, coupling the knee-length frock with nude Gianvito Rossi heels. She originally wore the same dress in 2017 on the couple’s tour to Germany.
Wearing her hair in loose curls over her shoulders, Catherine looked effortlessly glamorous and showed off her slim figure in the tight-fitting outfit.
But it was her glowing smiles and fits of giggles that made her stand out more than ever this time round, as the duchess was pictured laughing with her husband throughout their joint visit.
At one point, the pair took a seat next to each other and Catherine kept her gaze firmly fixed on her husband as he spoke to her, once again appearing to make her laugh.
As William chatted away, Catherine was seen leaning forwards beside him with her hair covering her face. She placed both hands on her knees, showing off her world famous wedding rings, while keeping her attention on her other half throughout.
Meanwhile, in a video posted by Kensington Palace on Instagram, the pair met Colombia-born contemporary artist Dairo Vargas as he painted a piece titled ‘Someone to Turn To’. He immediately invited them to join in, prompting William to reportedly say: “My wife, she’s the arty one!”

Catherine stepped up to the challenge and confidently dabbed at the beautiful portrait in front of her before stepping back and laughing. She immediately handed the brush to William before laughing at him as he attempted to swipe a small dab of white on to the painting himself.
The palace captioned the funny video: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge pick up a paintbrush and contribute to an artwork by @DairoVargas, which is inspired by the events at the first Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit — which aims to promote better mental health for all #GlobalMHSummit.”
