As US President Donald Trump and his wife First Lady Melania Trump continue their official state visit to the United Kingdom, the first couple hosted a dinner at the American ambassador’s residence Winfield House in London.
Trump hosted the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, along with other British figures such as Prime Minister Theresa May, on Tuesday night, as Melania showed off her incredible sense of style in a bold red frock.
The 49-year-old former model looked sensational in the stunning gown – designed by Claire Waight Keller, who was responsible for the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding gown last year – which featured a statement cape, with a triangle of sequins around the neckline.
Melania accessorised the fiery look with a pair of diamond studs, while she wore her hair loose over one shoulder in soft curls.
Meanwhile, Camilla’s white frock contrasted with Melania’s outfit choice as the duchess, 71, stepped out in the embellished gown on Tuesday. The stunning dress, which Camilla wore for the first time last year during a trip to Athens, appeared almost bridal with its full A-line skirt, sheer sleeves and a pretty floral embroidered overlay.
The duchess, standing alongside her husband Prince Charles who donned a tuxedo for the occasion, finished her look with a statement diamond necklace and a pair of droplet earrings.
The US first couple landed in the UK on Monday morning and have so far attended a royal banquet, hosted by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace, as well as visiting Westminster Cathedral, Winston Churchill’s war-time underground bunker and Number 10 Downing Street.
Trump is not only joined by his wife on the trip however as the President has also taken all four of his adult children, Ivanka, Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany, to London, as they made an appearance alongside their 72-year-old father at the formal dinner event.
All four Trump children also attended the banquet at the palace on Monday evening, with Melania stunning in a white floor-length for the prestigious event, attended by several senior members of royalty.
The Queen, heir-apparent Prince Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex, all attended the event and showed off their most glamorous looks in floor-length gowns.
The 93-year-old monarch looked regal in a floor-length white gown, which she paired with a silver bag and matching heels. She finished off the look with a Burmese ruby and diamond tiara, with a matching necklace and earrings.
