Make up can be fun and take us from drab to fab in moments but all that effort can be undone if we accidentally rub cosmetics onto our clothing.

Many will swear it happens more when we’re in a rush and no amount of scrubbing will get those pesky stains out in time but now a self-styled home guru has shared her simple solution using a cheap toiletry product.

Chantel Mila says she swears by shaving foam as a make up remover and showed her fans how to remove them in minutes from a crisp white jumper.

In a video she uploaded to TikTok Mila, who goes by the user name mama_mila_ demonstrated how effective it is to use the personal grooming product that “makeup artists swear by.”

At the start of the clip, Mila holds up a white t-shirt with foundation cream stains around the item’s neckline and advises to cover the stained area well with shaving foam.

Then, leave it set for 10 or more minutes and use a brush or cloth rub the foam into the fabric and wash as usual.

Et voila, a completely clean shirt.

“Awesome Tips!! Love this!!”

It’s amazing how well inexpensive toiletries can be used in other ways around the house and there are some great tips out there. When it comes to personal items, many of us don’t think about baby shampoo (unless you have a little one in your life) but it has some great uses.

Here are some unexpected ways to use baby shampoo around the home.

Revive dry skin

Are your feet or legs feeling dry? Before going to bed, apply baby shampoo to your feet and legs, and sleep in a pair of leggings or socks. You’ll wake up with softer skin, really!

Fix a stuck zipper

If your zipper isn’t budging, try using baby shampoo. All you have to do is rub some baby shampoo into the zipper’s teeth until it moves up and down — it’s really that simple.

Remove stubborn grease stains

Stubborn grease stains can sometimes be a little tricky to remove. If you’ve been avoiding the stain, this tried and tested method is definitely worth a go. Simply add a drop of baby shampoo to a sponge and work over until the stain disappears.

Ease the pain of band-aid removal

If you dislike ripping off a band-aid, this trick is definitely worth a try. To ease the pain, put a small amount of shampoo on and around the band-aid. Once the liquid seeps through, the band-aid will peel off painlessly.

Make your own puppy shampoo

Dog shampoo can sometimes be a little expensive, and some are too harsh for some pets’ skin. To avoid a ridiculous price or an itching pet, combine baby shampoo with apple cider vinegar and hot water, and apply as normal.
