Starts at 60 Daily Joke: An old man proposes to the love of his life

Henry, an 82-year-old man living in a nursing home, unexpectedly fell in love with Esmae, 79, who lived two rooms down from him.

Henry had been planning on asking Esmae to marry him for months and finally plucked up the courage one day.

He got down on his knees and told her there were two things he would like to ask her.

“What’s that?” Esmae asked.

“Will you marry me?” Henry bravely said.

“Yes, of course,” Esmae replied. “This is the happiest day of my life. What’s the second thing you need to ask me?”

Henry paused for a minute and asked his second question.

“Esmae, will you please help me get up off the floor? My knees have given in.”
