Sarah Ferguson may not be an official member of the royal family anymore, but she certainly still knows how to make headlines.
The 58-year-old Duchess stepped out for a glamorous gold-themed party in London this week and made sure she looked the part with a glittering short skirt and clingy camisole on top.
Looking every bit the star, Fergie posed alongside her fellow guests as she arrived on the red carpet at the Cafe Royal in London for the Le Cercle SGC Dinner, ‘A Golden Affair’, and was all smiles for the waiting photographers and press.
She wasn’t the only standout fashionista at the event and was almost upstaged by businessman Fred Zantman who dazzled in a two-piece golden suit and some seriously 1970s-esque platform shoes.
It be long before we see the mother-of-two step up the glamour again. Fergie is reportedly on the guest list for Prince Harry’s upcoming wedding to American actress Meghan Markle, after being shafted at Prince William’s 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton.
There was plenty of speculation in the lead up to Harry and Meghan’s invites being sent out with British royal reporters saying Harry insisted his aunty be invited, much to the Queen and Prince Philip’s displeasure.
Fergie fell out with the senior royals following her divorce from Prince Andrew and a series of embarrassing public gaffes, including the infamous newspaper sting that caught her trying to sell face-to-face time with Andrew to the highest bidder.
Despite her missteps, Harry is said to have gone out of his way to include her at his wedding. Earlier this year, People reported that Fergie will at least attend the reception, if not the ceremony, and that Harry pushed for an invite because of his close relationship with her daughters, princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
“Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie are very close, and therefore I wouldn’t be surprised to see her welcomed back into the family fold for at least part of the wedding,” royal reporter Imogen Lloyd Webber told the publication.
