Princess Mary glowed as she stepped out in a beautiful monochrome ball gown for a state dinner at Christiansborg Palace on Tuesday night – and once again stole the show among the room full of dignitaries.

Known for her flawless sense of style, the Hobart-born crown princess looked sensational in the patterned floor length gown as she welcomed France’s President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte.

Mary’s silk dress, which nipped in at the waist, featured a simple design of monochrome roses – a striking pattern that looked eye-catching without being busy the way a more traditional floral fabric could have been.

The mother-of-four chose to pair the outfit with silver earrings and a matching bracelet, with a glimmering tiara completing her regal look. With her brunette locks pulled back into a low bun, Mary kept her makeup simple and classy as she opted for a subtle smoky eye and a pink lip. Meanwhile, Prince Frederick wore a traditional military uniform for the event.

The French first lady looked just as beautiful in a stunning white full-sleeved fitted gown. The 65-year-old paired the floor length gown with silver towering heels and wore her hair in a stylish bun for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Queen Margrethe stood out in a vibrant purple ball gown, which featured a delicate lace overlay.

Tuesday was a busy day for the princess, who was spotted in a striking red dress earlier in the day, as she welcomed Emmanuel and his wife Brigitte to Denmark’s capital city Copenhagen.

With her brunette locks pulled back into a low bun, the princess looked classy and elegant in a stunning high-necked dress by Brazilian designer Raquel Diniz.

Falling gracefully past her knees, the stunning red Armonia silk georgette dress was the perfect fit for the Aussie born royal as it tied in at the waist showing off her slim figure. The mother-of-four chose to pair the outfit with silver snakeskin heels, and silver earrings, with a deep red clutch and brooch completing her look.
