She’s been wowing audiences across the globe for decades with her incredible acting talent and at the age of 83, Dame Judi Dench has proven she’s still got it when it comes to fashion.

The Philomena star was spotted at the RHS Garden Wisley Flower Show in the United Kingdom earlier this month and although there were plenty of beautiful flowers and plants to impress guests, it was the dame who stole the show.

Proving once again that growing older doesn’t mean giving up on fashion, the Victoria and Abdul actress opted for a casual yet flattering all-white outfit combo. While some older actresses are known for wearing extravagant frocks and tall shoes, the film legend prefers a more laid-back style.

This time she matched her casual trousers with a white top, layered with a simple white coat to create a more flattering look. She accessorised with a beautiful scarf, as she often does, and threw on a few silver bangles for the finishing touch. She was spotted holding a gorgeous bouquet of bright flowers for the day and was also seen walking a red carpet made of red flowers in the picturesque county of Surrey.

A keen gardener herself, Judi wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and was also spotted getting involved in some gardening during the festivities.

Plants and nature have always played a huge role in Judi’s life and she had the very special task of opening this year’s annual flower show. Running in Britain’s summer, the RHS Garden Wisley Flower Show features an array of breathtaking displays, plenty of plants and lots to see and do for garden enthusiasts.

Last year, Judi appeared in a BBC documentary about her own garden. Judi Dench, My Passion for Trees delved into the star’s passion for gardening and why her plants and trees are so important to her.

Paying respect to those she’s lost, Judi has set up a memorial forest at her home.

“I’ve turned my six-acre garden into a secret woodland, and I see my trees as my extended family,” she said in the documentary. “My life now is just trees. Trees and champagne.”

The idea started many years ago when her husband Michael Williams was still alive. While he passed away in 2001, Judi has continued to plant trees whenever a relative or friend dies. In addition to her husband, she’s got plants dedicated to Stephen Hanley and Natasha Richardson.

Gardening aside, Judi has also managed to squeeze in some acting jobs in recent months. In 2019, she will appear in two films. The first, Artemis Fowl, will see her play the character of Commander Root – a cartoon character originally written for a man. Later next year she will also lend her acting talents to Six Minutes to Midnight, which is set in 1939 and tells the story of influential families in Nazi Germany who sent their daughters to a finishing school in England.
