Who said romance is dead in Hollywood? Catherine Zeta-Jones, 48, looked stunning in a frilled black dress as she and husband Michael Douglas, 74, hit the red carpet at the Robin Hood Foundation’s 2018 Benefit on Tuesday night.

Although the pair are heading toward their 18th wedding anniversary, the pair held hands as they posed for photos. Oozing glamour, the Welsh actress wore a fitted black midi-length dress that showed off her figure, with a white-trimmed frill creating striking design feature that looked eye-catching without being busy.

Catherine paired the stunning ensemble with dangling jewelled earrings and matching black peep-toe heels and a black clutch. Sleek, straight hair and make-up that was all about dark eyes with pared-back lipstick made sure nothing competed with the dress’ dramatic monochrome look.

Meanwhile, Michael looked dapper in a black suit, completed with a white pocket square and white dress shirt, adding a hint of colour with a dark burgundy tie.

Catherine shared an image of her and Michael on Instagram with the caption: “Date night with a cause. A special night on our calendar each year is attending the Robin Hood charity gala — celebrating human kindness and the gift of giving.”

Fans loved their simple but flattering style. “Wow what a stunning couple,” one commented, while another added, “Beautiful couple! Elegance style and class,” and a third wrote, “You both look great! What a nice charity to support”.

The stylish pair have been married since 2000 and while have had their ups and downs, including a brief split in 2013, they seem to be stronger than ever.

Catherine regularly posts snaps on social media, sharing a black-and-white image of Michael and their two kids, Carys, now 15, and Dylan, 17, when they were younger with her 1.3 million Instagram followers on Mother’s Day. “Motherhood, would be nothing without the three loves of my life, she wrote.” Thank you for the joy you give me each and everyday.”
