She has just completed a whirlwind royal tour of Morocco with her husband Prince Harry, and it seems that the Duchess of Sussex’ efforts have not gone unnoticed as reports suggest that the Queen has been “amazed” by heavily pregnant Meghan’s work ethic.
According to Vanity Fair, Her Majesty the Queen has been impressed by Meghan’s “energy and stamina” in carrying out her official duties, despite being seven months pregnant with her first child.
“The Queen is amazed by the duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is so heavily pregnant,” a royal source told the magazine. “For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”
And the royal couple may have a surprise waiting for them upon their return from the North African country, with reports suggesting the monarch is planning to pen a rare thank you letter to the duke and duchess.
“There may well be a letter waiting for the duke and duchess when they return,” the source added. “She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”

The overseas visit is expected to be the duchess’ last foreign jaunt before she gives birth at the end of April or beginning of May, having recently flown back to her home country of America to attend a baby shower thrown by her closest friends.
However the newest member of the royal family’s lavish trip, rumoured to have cost around AU$700,000 in total, made headlines across the world as people questioned whether it was right for her to celebrate in such an extravagant way, despite several of her friends, including tennis ace Serena Williams, footing most of the huge bill.
One person who thought Meghan was wrong for celebrating so luxuriously was former royal butler Paul Burrell who told The Sun newspaper in the UK that the Duchess of Sussex “has to learn respect” for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, describing her baby shower as “overindulgent”.
