‘Not good enough to be a Markle’: Samantha Markle slams Duchess of Sussex

Christmas is typically a time for putting aside our differences and coming together with friends and family, but Samantha Markle seems to have no such intentions as she took to Twitter to slam her sister Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, branding her “heartless”.

Samantha, who is Meghan’s half-sister and shares a biological father with the duchess, targeted her sibling on Boxing Day, in the latest public rant aimed at the pregnant duchess.

“I’ve never seen anyone so rude and hurtful and heartless and absent a soul in my life. #MeghanMarkle#SamanthaMarkle,” she wrote on social media.

“Shame on you for what you have done to our father. No PR machine can fix this. I retract the merry Christmas, you don’t deserve it. How dare you walk into a church.”

The verbal attack comes after months of public commentary from both Samantha and the women’s father Thomas Markle, with the family claiming that Meghan, who is pregnant with her first child, has cut them out of her life since marrying into the British royal family.

Samantha added: “Thank god you’re a Windsor. You’re not good enough to be a Markle.” She then took another shot at Meghan, labelling her “empty” and adding: “I don’t know enough profane words to articulate how I feel.”

Samantha has previously taken aim at Prince Harry’s wife on a number of occasions, largely to do with the breakdown in her relationship with her father, which stems from the lead-up to the royal wedding which took place in May.

Thomas was intended to walk his daughter down the aisle however, following a public fallout relating to a series of staged paparazzi photos, the task eventually fell to Prince Charles who walked his daughter-in-law down the aisle at St George’s Chapel to meet her now husband.

In October Samantha branded the Duchess of Sussex a “liar” after she gave a speech about the difficulties of paying to go to university during her Commonwealth tour with husband Prince Harry.

Meghan spoke to students at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, sharing her own personal experiences of struggling to afford university fees when she was in her early twenties and trying to navigate America’s expensive higher education system.

But Samantha was quick to fire back and accused her sister of lying, claiming it was instead their father who forked out the money for her education.

Taking to Twitter at the time, she wrote: “Dad paid her college tuition! She forgot the most important part of her speech and there are receipts to prove it. I love my sister but this is ridiculous. You can’t lie like this, Meg! Delusional absurd.”

The Duchess of Sussex and Samantha have had a strained relationship for quite some time, made worse when Samantha went public with her outbursts ahead of Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry in May.
