Last year we were treated to two royal weddings as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, followed by Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, said ‘I do’ at St George’s Chapel. Now we have gotten our first glimpse of the latest member of royalty to get hitched as Lady Gabriella Windsor tied the knot on Saturday.
Saying her vows at the same venue as Harry and Meghan, almost one year to the day since they celebrated their nuptials on May 19 2018, Lady Gabriella looked sensational in a white long-sleeved gown which featured intricate floral lace and was custom made for the blonde beauty.
The bride, as is traditional for relatives of royalty, completed her beautiful, classic look with a stunning diamond tiara, which had been worn by her mother and grandmother on their wedding days.
The 38-year-old daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent married financier Thomas Kingston in the grounds of Windsor Castle and the happy couple were surrounded by a bevy of adorable young bridesmaids and page boys, dressed all in white.
Many senior members of the royal family made an appearance at the ceremony, including Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Philip, Princess Anne, Prince Harry and Prince Edward.
Just one day before his own first wedding anniversary, Harry attended the event without his wife Meghan, who delivered the couple’s first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor less than a fortnight ago. He was photographed chatting and laughing with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh outside of the chapel.
Princess Beatrice was also in attendance alongside her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with the occasion marking the couple’s first royal outing together. The happy couple were also joined by Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson.
Beatrice, 30, looked chic in a sheer navy lace dress, which featured a tiered skirt. She paired the classy frock with an ivory fascinator, while Mozzi donned a morning suit for the special occasion.
Meanwhile the Duchess of York looked stunning in a pale pink dress which featured a statement ruffle shoulder. She paired the dress with a matching disc fascinator and carried a small clutch bag and leather gloves.
Lady Gabriella, who is 52nd in line in to the throne, was beaming with happiness as she emerged from the chapel following the ceremony, walking down the famous west steps hand-in-hand with her new husband.
The new couple stopped and posed for photographs on the steps, as Harry and Meghan did 12 months ago today, before sharing a kiss for the cameras.
