While many royalists around the world are fixated on the fashion of younger royals including Princess Eugenie, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, Sarah Ferguson has proven that the older royals still have it when it comes to style and fashion.
The Duchess of York debuted what could be described as one of her most glamorous outfits to date as she stepped out on Friday night at the Artists for Peace and Justice & Bovet 1822 Gala.
The 59-year-old travelled all the way from the United Kingdom to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for the event. The gala was hosted by an array of Hollywood A-listers including Susan Sarandon, Caroline Stanbury, Madeleine Stowe, Ben Stiller and Sarah.
Held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Business Bay, the aim of the gala was to raise funds for the Brilliant is Beautiful fund. The fund has been set up to provide thousands of scholarships to young women and girls around the world. Funds during the evening were raised through ticket sales, a live auction and an awards ceremony. It was the first time the gala was held.
Meanwhile, Artists for Peace and Justice strives for peace and social suggest around the world. The organisation also aims to alleviate poverty by empowering local communities.
“Our immediate efforts serve the poorest communities in Haiti with programs in education and training in creative industries, while expanding our reach globally, partnering with effective local organisations to give young women access to quality education,” the organisation said on its website.
For the lavish event, Sarah opted for an elegant white gown that was a real showstopper. It included a stunning floral pattern on the chest and around the waist, while the dress itself was floor-length.
The mother-of-two wore her luscious red locks in a fancy style for the evening and completed her look with flawless make-up and a simple bracelet as an accessory. Meanwhile, Susan wowed in a pretty red frock complete with a gorgeous pink shawl.
Sarah has been updating fans of her travels in the Middle East through her Instagram page. Earlier this week she shared a photo of herself arriving at Abu Dhabi.
In that photo, Sarah was wearing a green shawl over a pink cardigan. She also posted another photo of herself in the desert with a camel and took a moment to update fans of what she was doing in Dubai.
