He’s one of the busiest men in showbiz but Richard Wilkins has taken time out of his busy schedule for date night with his girlfriend, Virginia Burmeister.

The loved up couple were very special guests at Thursday’s Silver Party in Sydney. The purpose of the event was to raise vital funds for the Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children’s Hospitals. An array of other stars including Nicky Oatley, Tom Waterhouse and Nadia Fairfax were in attendance.

For the outing, Richard, 64, and Virginia oozed glamour in matching fashion ensembles.

The entertainment guru opted for a stylish tailored blazer with matching black suit pants. He topped off the look with a smart pair of black shoes, a trendy button-up shirt and matching black tie.

Virginia looked dazzling and stylish in a maxi gown that showed off plenty of the star’s skin. She accessorised with a fabulous pair of black heels, a black choker around her neck and added some sparkle with a fancy watch, bracelet and gorgeous pair of hoop earrings.

The mum-of-three took to her Instagram page to share some behind-the-scenes snaps from the night.

“Loving being part of a very special evening #silverparty Raising some much needed funds for the @sydney_kids,” she wrote, sharing some photos of the venue with her fans.

Meanwhile, Richard took to the stage at the event and explained that he was at the Silver Party with many others because he cared and he was doing something for the community.

The latest outing comes several months after the pair were las spotted publicly together. Richard and Virginia enjoyed a night at the theatre when then attended the premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Sydney’s iconic Capitol Theatre.

For that event, a handsome Richard chose a smart casual look and stepped out in a pair of black pants and matching coloured shirt, complete with a red velvet suit jacket and black shoes. his glamorous girlfriend wowed in a black figure-hugging dress which fell just below her knees. The gorgeous blonde opted for nude shoes and wore her hair down and straight to pull the outfit together.

Richard remains a fixture on Aussie TV screens, making the switch from Today to Today Extra earlier this year. The father-of-five remains the entertainment editor at Nine, but has a greater role on the second-tier Today Extra show with David Campbell and Sonia Kruger.
