William and Catherine delight royal fans with special message

It seems like just yesterday that Princess Charlotte entered this world.

And now royal fans who wrote to the tiny princess for her second birthday have received a special thank you card from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. 

People were almost as thrilled to see the couple have finally changed their go-to greeting card. 

The message, which was the same for everyone, read: “‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for the message you so kindly sent to Princess Charlotte on the occasion of her second birthday.

“It was really most thoughtful of you and was greatly appreciated.”

While no one expected a personalised response, Kate and Wills have previously repeated the same message in greetings to royal fans, no matter what the occasion.

Not only have they sent the same “warmest thanks and best wishes” time after time, after time – the message on their previous cards was identical to that used by Prince Charles and Camilla.

It seems the royal couple have noticed people weren’t too impressed and have altered their message for Charlotte’s second year celebrations.   

Their previous faux pas was revealed by Instagram account “Royal Letters”, which showed that Kate and William have sent out the same response on no fewer than four separate occasions.
