‘So proud’: Sarah Ferguson gushes about daughters with sweet photo

The Duchess of York is known to share a close bond with both her girls and like most mother’s she can’t help but gush with pride about the accomplished young ladies they’ve grown into.

On Thursday, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie joined the Queen and other members of the royal family at the Royal Ascot, and while she wasn’t there in person to share in the fun, proud mum Sarah Ferguson tweeted a picture of her daughters looking lovely as they arrived by at the racecourse by horse drawn carriage.

“So proud of my girls … Beatrice and @princesseugenie,” she wrote.

Royal supporters were quick to comment with one user writing, “I am sure you are terribly proud, they have grown to be such amazing women. This is a wonderful picture of them both. I think they look so lovely in those outfits.”

“Stunning. Like their Mum!” another commentator wrote.

As is tradition, the royals have been out in force for the first three days of the annual horse race, and Beatrice, 29, and Eugenie, 28, have been on a style roll this week attending the various Royal Ascot events.

On Thursday the sisters pulled out all the stops for Ladies Day. Princess Beatrice kept it chic in a black lace dress by Jonathan Simkhai, while Eugenie opted for a pretty high-neck floral dress by Erdem — which has proven to be a popular label in her wardrobe.

Beatrice and Eugenie are no strangers to a statement hat and both ladies opted for an elegant black-and-white hat by Sally Ann Provan. Eugenie’s black-and-white headpiece featured a floating brim, while Beatrice’s peekaboo flower added an element of fun to the ensemble.

Earlier in the week, the Duke of York’s eldest daughter, Beatrice, stepped out in a daring frock for the V&A Summer Party at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Beatrice wore a white mini dress that showed off her pins, and was finished off with a dramatic ruffle. She completed the bold look with a pair of blue satin pumps.

The young princess was joined at the glamorous by a host of other British celebrities, including Mick Jagger’s daughter Bianca, and Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer.
