‘Left me no option’: Samantha Markle ‘flying to London to confront Meghan’

It is no secret that their relationship is a strained one, as Samantha Markle continues to be very vocal about her half sister’s new role as the Duchess of Sussex.

However Meghan has maintained a dignified silence in regard to the family drama, following the lead of the royal family and keeping her lips sealed when it comes to private matters.

Now though, it seems that after “numerous discreet attempts” to allegedly contact her sister, Samantha has seemingly had enough as her representative Rob Cooper revealed on Monday that he was heading to London with his client to confront Meghan about their ageing father Thomas Markle.

Saying Prince Harry’s wife had left them no other option, Cooper wrote on Twitter: “Samantha Markle is coming to the UK. After making numerous attempts in private to arrange a one on one meeting with The Duchess of Sussex to discuss their 74 year old father’s health, Kensington Palace have refused to respond.

“I fear Meghan may not be made aware of these discreet attempts and therefore making this public is the only option we have left. I currently have Samantha in Europe with just one short flight away.

“This DOESN’T need to be public, we would prefer to keep this private. Samantha is coming to the UK this week, like it or not.”

However fans of the Duchess of Sussex were not happy with Samantha’s decision and many took to Twitter to criticise her plan to call out Meghan, suggesting she could be denied a visa upon entering the country. One user wrote: “She hasn’t been in Duchess of Sussex’s life for years. I’m glad the majority of people see through her and what she is doing.”

Another said: “She could be denied visa to enter the U. K. on the grounds she’s entering to harass and intimidate a member of the Royal family.” While another tweeted: “Taking on the oldest institution in the world? Good luck with that. I hope they throw you both in a cell for harassment. We have laws about that for this very reason.”

Earlier this month Samantha hit out at her half sister, with whom she shares a father Thomas Markle, and her brother in law Prince Harry, slamming the royal couple for not reaching out to Meghan’s dad on his birthday.

“Happy Birthday Harry! As you ‘Mack down’ on your birthday cake, think about the birthday wishes you never extended to your FATHER-IN-LAW.” she wrote on Twitter. “The DUCHASS should be humane to our father who has given her everything and this media crap can stop!

“He was the one who was always there for her. Fake waves and smiles can stop. The duchASS can bow to the daddy.”

Also, in July this year, Samantha appeared on UK TV show Good Morning Britain just hours later and admitted to “cashing in” on her royal connection – before pleading with Meghan to visit their father as he continues to battle health issues.

“Let’s face it, we all have to survive, money makes the world go round,” she told the show. “So if you want to call that cashing in, that’s fine. But no one in media would refuse a pay cheque for talking about the royals.”

Samantha then used the platform to reach out to Meghan, 37, and plead with her to contact her father and mend a rift between the family, adding: “I felt as though if something were to happen to him, and he passed away, I don’t think any of us could live with the fact that he died unhappy and there was not closure. I believe in her heart that she would want that also.”
