Following her marriage to Prince Harry earlier this month, Meghan Markle received her very own biography on the official website of the Royal family.

However, it didn’t take long for people to notice that the Duchess of Sussex’s acting career had seemingly vanished into thin air as her royal profile made no mention of her seven-year stint on hit legal drama Suits.

As well as omitting Her Royal Highness’ hugely popular role as paralegal Rachel Zane, the write-up also failed to mention her lifestyle blog The Tig, which she closed shortly after announcing her engagement to Prince Harry.

The initial post, which included a very subtle nod to Meghan’s time “filming in Toronto”, failed to name drop the show that made the 36-year-old a household name, but it has now been quietly corrected to include her acting credentials, more than a week on from the wedding.

The bio now reads: “After university Her Royal Highness worked as an actress, appearing in film and television.

“She most notably played the role of Rachel Zane on the series Suits for seven seasons, completing over 100 episodes.

“Whilst working on Suits, The Duchess moved to Toronto, Canada where the show was filmed; she feels very connected to Canada, as it became a second home to her.

Meghan quit her role on the USA Network series in preparation to become a full-time royal once she had tied the knot with Prince Harry.

After saying “I do” at Windsor Castle on May 19, Meghan was given a page on the royal website dedicated to telling her life story, including her charitable work and appointment as the UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership.

It says: “From a young age, The Duchess had a keen awareness of social issues and actively participated in charitable work.

“Aged 11 she successfully campaigned for a company to alter their television advert that had used sexist language to sell washing-up liquid.

“Her Royal Highness also volunteered at a soup kitchen in Skid Row, Los Angeles from the age of 13-17. She continued to volunteer at the soup kitchen when she would return home to Los Angeles until the age of 22.

Meghan and Prince Harry enjoyed a whirlwind romance after they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend in 2016, and the couple announced their engagement the following November.

More than 29 million people worldwide tuned in to watch their lavish nuptials earlier this month in a star-studded ceremony at St George’s Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Meghan’s Suits co-stars attended the wedding, including her on-screen husband Patrick J Adams, who played Mike Ross on the show, alongside a host of other A-list names such as Sir Elton John, the Beckham’s, Sarah Ferguson and George and Amal Clooney.

Are you glad the Royals are embracing all of Meghan’s past, rather than trying to bury the more ‘un-royal’ moments?
