Duchess of Cambridge is ‘thrilled’ at Prince Harry’s engagement news

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly ‘ absolutely thrilled’ at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement.

When asked by the reporters about the engagement yesterday she said, 

“William and I are absolutely thrilled. It’s such exciting news.”

“It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

The royal made the statement to reporters after visiting the Foundling Hospital—the first public art gallery and children’s hospital in the United Kingdom.

Throughout her visit, the Duchess could not hide her excitement as she interacted with the young children using a number of animated expressions.

The royal looked stunning and youthful in a printed Kate Spade dress that displayed her baby bump.

At the hospital, she learned about its historical impact and participated in many workshops with the children.

It seems that the Duchess and Meghan Markle are as thick as thieves with Miss Markle labeling Kate as an ‘amazing’ source of support for her.

Miss Markle covered a lot of ground in her first joint interview with Prince Harry after the announcement of their engagement.

Even though both of them have had experience with the media they were still ‘unprepared’ for the media storm that would follow the announcement of their engagement.

“It’s not easy for anybody,” said Harry.

“But at the end of the day she chooses me and I choose her and whatever we have to tackle together or individually, we’ll always be together as a team.”
