British MP makes cruel accusations about Prince Philip’s fidelity

The labour MP has refused to apologise for her remarks.

A British Labour MP has refused to apologise after making several cruel comments about the Royal Family.

Kensington MP Emma Dent Coad went on a rant at a fringe meeting at Labour’s party conference in Brighton on Monday, where she not only jeered at Prince Harry’s Army career, claiming – incorrectly – that he was not qualified to fly Apache helicopters, despite being deployed as a gunner to Afghanistan, but also accused Prince Philip of being unfaithful to the Queen.

The Daily Mail reported that the politician said, “Harry can’t actually fly a helicopter so they had to make him co-pilot.

“So he just sits there going ‘vroom vroom’.”

In fact, Prince Harry served on two tours of Afghanistan, rising to the rank of Captain over his army career spanning a decade, and was highly qualified to not only fly the aircraft, but operate its weapons.

Dent Coad also reportedly said that both William and Harry are “not very bright” and suggested to “just let them drift away, be playboys or whatever.”

The young princes weren’t the only royals attacked in her vicious rant, however, as she also took a swipe at Prince Philip, claiming that the 96-year-old husband of the Queen has been unfaithful “for quite a few years.”

“The Queen might want to step back when her (cough, cough) soulmate is gone,” she said.

The MP, whose response to the Grenfell tower fire elevated her career, refused to apologise for the comments, instead blasting the press for their focus on the Royal Family.

“I’ve spoken five times about the Grenfell fire, yet this is all they’re interested in, which really proves the point I was making about the press in charge of the narrative.”

Do you think she should apologise for the comments?
