Gerard Baden-Clay demands contact with daughters

Baden-Clay was sentenced to 15 years non parole in prison.

Convicted wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay is demanding to see his daughters in prison.

Baden-Clay has not had contact with his three girls since he was found guilty of murdering their mother Allison in 2014.

Now though, he is reportedly insisting they be able to visit him, send him pictures and that he have access to their school report cards, saying it is in their best interest.

Allison’s close friends are furious with his request, telling The Courier Mail he has no idea about the affect he’s had on their lives.

“He is in complete denial about what he’s done,” one friend said told the paper.

“He has no concept about what he has put those kids through and how he has impacted everybody.

“It’s worrying that he thinks he has a right to be involved in these kids’ lives. He just hasn’t.”

Baden-Clay was convicted of Allison’s murder, only to have his crime downgraded to manslaughter later, before being reinstated to murder in the appeals process.

He is serving life sentence with a 15-year non parole period. While he had contact with the couple’s daughters throughout his trial, communication was severed once he was convicted.

The Wolston Correctional Centre at Wacol where he is being held has reportedly denied his request for contact.
