Tina Turner is mourning the loss of her eldest son Craig Raymond Turner, who was found dead from suicide just hours after the singer was happily posing for the cameras at a major fashion event.

Looking full of joy as she laughed with friends at the Giorgio Armani Prive Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2018-2019 show in Paris on Tuesday, Tina was unbeknown to the events taking place in her son’s home in California.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 59-year-old Craig was found dead by authorities who entered his Los Angeles flat just after noon on Tuesday, four hours after his mother was pictured on the red carpet.

Los Angeles County coroner’s office assistant chief Ed Winter reportedly confirmed Craig’s death had been ruled a suicide and that he had a gunshot wound.

Craig is one of Tina’s four children and her only son with former partner Raymond Hill; Craig was later adopted by Ike Turner after he and Tina wed in 1962.

Ike also had two children from his first marriage; Ike Jnr and Michael, with the pair sharing one son together Ronnie who is now 57-years-old.

Unfortunately the marriage between the two took a terrible turn, with Tina fleeing from Ike following years of abuse.

She is now happily married to German music producer Erwin Bach and has lived in Switzerland since 1994.

However, The Daily Mail reported, according to Ike Jnr, the 78-year-old has had minimal contact with her children and placed distance between them following her split from Ike.

“My mother is living her life – she has a new husband and she’s in Europe. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with the past,” Ike Jnr said.

It was during this time the music sensation focused on her music and new life away from Ike, creating an abundance of great hits including her fifth solo album Private Dancer in 1984.
