It’s that time of year again. It’s spooky October when the underbelly of the world starts to rear its scary head. Ghosts, goblins, vampires, and everything seem to come to life. I find it quite exciting. The afterlife is of particular interest to me. It could be because I’m closer to my expiration date. Still, I wonder if my connection to the other side is becoming more pronounced.
I have often received messages from deceased relatives that advised me to take a different path or to face an uncertain circumstance differently. I was considering a publishing job until I heard a message saying, “Don’t just do it for the money.”I didn’t accept the promotion.
I was on a river trip in Amsterdam when I got a bad case of anxiety and heard a voice telling me, ‘There’s nothing to worry about.”
Beyond that, though, I also noticed strange things happening as a travel writer. Odd things started showing up in my pictures and videos. Opaque orbs appeared in my pictures when I reviewed old hotels and restaurants. I only knew what they were once I started researching them.
Naysayers believe it’s just specks of dust, but when I have taken videos of all buildings, it’s not dust. These things rush through the frames much faster than the way dust behaves when filmed. Some believe orbs are indicative of spirits from the other side.
When we lived in Los Angeles, we went on many ghost tours, and I often wrote about them. We visited places believed to be haunted, including the Queen Mary. When I questioned some of the cleaning staff regarding the presence of ghosts on the boat, they recounted several stories of odd phenomena that took place while they were working. Strange noises, objects being moved, and unusual smells were detected.
When I filmed the engine room, I saw some rapidly moving orbs traveling through the video. Some believe this indicates the presence of people who have passed away.
The Queen Mary is known for it for being haunted.
If orbs are present, they will travel across the screen like a small bouncing ball of light. If you take digital pictures, they will look like a round fuzzy ball. If you zoom in, they have a bit of a rainbow color.
We were at the Sportsman Lodge in Los Angeles for my brother and sister’s birthday party when I saw so many of these orbs. Ghosts are attracted to group gatherings; the more, the merrier.
The Riverside Mission Inn in California gave us the willies when we detected an odd presence in the TV room where we were staying. Again, when I questioned the staff, they told us several stories about entities. It haunted the hotel.
At the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, a handyman recounted the story of hearing strange noises while repairing the building.
I often read about NDLs (near-death experiences), and the consensus seems to be similar among those who have died and come back.
There is an overwhelming experience of bright light and the presence of a spiritual being that comes and tells you whether it’s your time or not. One universal message is that love is the only thing that matters.
Do you believe in the hereafter, ghosts, or other phenomena? If so, what has your experience been like?
