Amidst a recent volley of health concerns relating to senior members of the Firm, some heartwarming news has emerged by way of a birthday celebration for one of the youngest members of the British Royal Family.

Taking to her Instagram page, Princess Eugenie, niece to King Charles III and 11th in line to the British throne, has shared a candid image of herself and son, now three-year-old August, to celebrate his birthday.

Alongside the image which captures an intimate moment between mother and son, is the caption, “Happy 3rd Birthday to our dearest Augie. Forever a force of nature and forever giggling with you.”

Floored by the endearing image of August and his adoring mum, fans and friends were quick to wish the youngster a very happy birthday while commenting on the princess’ ability to keep things natural.

“I love how very real a person she is,” one said.

“How is he 3!!! Already!!!! Awww happy birthday Augie!!!!”

“Happy Birthday August.”

“What a beautiful mama you are. Give big hugs to your mum for me,” commented another.

“Happy 3rd Birthday wishes my sweet boo boy Augie!!”

Princess Eugenie has been married to 37-year-old financier, Jack Brooksbank for five years. August was born on February 9, 2021, followed by little brother Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank in May 2023.

Having lived her entire life in the spotlight, Princess Eugenie has in the past been open about the pressures she faces and the lengths she will go to to maintain balance between her public and private life.

Speaking to White Wine Question Time podcaster Kate Thornton in October last year, she spoke truthfully about starting up her private Instagram account and the pressure she faces when posting to her social media pages.

“I want people to know me because I think there has been so much misinformation and it’s so easy to judge something when you read it in the paper,” Eugenie told Thornton.

She did admit that posting on Instagram was “the most stressful thing in the world”.

“Oh my God, I get so nervous,” she explained.

The sweet birthday wish follows a tumultuous time for the royal family with the announcement of King Charles III’s shock cancer diagnosis. While the news has rocked Britain, Queen Camilla recently expressed her optimism that the monarch was “doing extremely well” under the circumstances.

In other royal health news, the King’s daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales has also returned home following recent abdominal surgery where she remained in a private London clinic for two weeks.

The princess is said to be recovering at home out of the spotlight but, true to her steadfast nature, reports say she is already planning her return to royal duties which is expected after Easter.
