Singing sensation Rod Stewart shares adorable moment with new grandchild

Music icon Rod Stewart has captured hearts with a heartwarming photo of a special moment with his newborn granddaughter, which was recently shared on social media.

Stewart’s son, Liam, and his wife, Nicole, who already share their 21-month-old son Louie, recently welcomed a baby girl, Elsie Skylar Stewart. Her name is a beautiful tribute to Stewart’s late mother, Elsie Gilbart, who passed away in 1996 at the age of 91.

To celebrate the arrival of their newest family member, the rock legend’s wife, Penny Lancaster, posted a touching photo on Instagram showing their first meeting with little Elsie. In the photo, Stewart sits beside his wife, who lovingly cradles the newborn.

“So proud to meet little Elsie, what an angel,” Lancaster wrote.

“Nicole, Liam and Louie have their baby girl joining them in their new home and how harmonious their are 🩵🤍💗 @itsnicolestewart @discostew94 @sirrodstewart.”

The post was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans celebrating the arrival of Stewart’s latest grandchild.

“Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter Elsie. She’s beautiful,” one wrote.

“So beautiful.”

“How beautiful is baby Elsie and how lovely she’s called after Rod’s mum her great grandmother,” commented another.

“Ohh bless, she’s one precious, adorable bub 💕 Congratulations Mr and Mrs Stewart on the safe arrival of your new granddaughter.”

The Stewart clan is set to get even bigger after Stewart’s daughter Kimberly Stewart recently announced she was pregnant.

Kimberly, the daughter of Stewart and his ex-wife, American model and actress Alana Stewart, shared the news with a photoshoot. In the pictures, she cradles her baby bump while wearing a red floral dress, revealing that she’s expecting a son.

“Baby boy coming soon,” she wrote alongside the photos.

Stewart is a proud grandfather to Kimberly’s daughter Delilah, Ruby’s son Otis, and Liam’s two children, Louie and Elsie.

His children include four daughters — Sarah, 61; Kimberly, 45; Ruby, 37; and Renee, 32 — and four sons — Sean, 44; Liam, 30; Alastair Wallace, 19; and Aiden Patrick, 14.
