Rod Stewart kicks off 2025 with wonderful news: He’s a grandfather again

Singing legend Sir Rod Stewart has started the year with heartwarming news, he’s now a grandfather for the fourth time.

His son, Liam Stewart and his wife Nicole, who already share their son Louie (21 months), took to Instagram on Monday, March 3 to introduce their newest addition: a baby girl.

In a series of sweet photos from the hospital, the proud parents posed with Louie and their newborn daughter, beaming with joy.

Her name, Elsie Skylar Stewart, is a touching tribute to Rod’s late mother, Elsie Gilbart, who passed away in 1996 at the age of 91.

“Elsie Skylar Stewart. Our sweet little pea born 03/02/25,” the couple wrote alongside the photo.

Stewart previously had the pleasure of meeting Louie and his other grandchild Otis, sharing the heartwarming moment with his fans on his Instagram page with a series of touching photos of his first meeting with the two new additions.

In one photo, a beaming Stewart cradled little Louie in his arms, who is wearing a blue onesie. In a second photo, a still-smiling Stewart holds a sleeping Otis in his arms.

‘Happy Grandad,” Stewart captioned the image.

Stewart isn’t the only iconic rocker to celebrate becoming a grandfather again.

Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards’s youngest daughter, Alexandra Richards recently welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Jacques Naudé.

She announced the news on Instagram, saying in a message filled with star emojis: “4,3,2,1. Love bomb drop. Jacques and I welcomed our son to the world 2/17/25. Elvis Nova Naudé.”

The couple has also shared black-and-white photographs of the newborn, with one image showing Jacques holding Elvis while the baby’s hand touched his father’s chest, while another was a close-up of the sleeping infant.
