Australia born Princess Mary of Denmark has shared a series of photos capturing her twin children celebrating their eleventh birthday.
In the photos posted to the Danish Royal Family’s Instagram page, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent cuddle with dogs as they celebrate the occasion with family.
“Their Royal Highnesses Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are celebrating their 11th birthday today with the family,” the caption read.
“On the occasion of the birthday, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess have shared new photos of their two youngest children – as well as the family’s two small and lively puppies.”
Royal fans were quick to wish the twins a happy birthday.
“They’re so adorable. Wishing a very happy 11th Birthday to these cute twins.”
“Happy birthday. May it be a happy year for them.”
“Great pictures! Happy birthday the twins.”
The siblings were born in January 2011 and are the youngest of Mary and Frederik’s children alongside Prince Christian, 16, and Princess Isabella, 14.
As the twins celebrate their birthday, Princess Mary has been forced to cancel her birthday celebrations in line with Covid-19 protocols. A gala banquet at Rosenborg Castle was planned for February 4, 2022 for Mary’s 50th birthday. The royal couple announced via a statement the event will now be postponed.
“The cancellation occurs in light of the current situation with infection in the society and the continuing uncertainty about the development of Covid-19,” the statement said.
“The decision is also made out of respect for the many cooperating partners involved in a celebration of this magnitude. Such cooperation should have taken place in the coming weeks and would have been very difficult to carry out.
“The Mary Foundation’s planned birthday celebration is postponed until later in the year. On the actual day, celebration of The Crown Princess’s 50th birthday will thus be exclusively private.”
