The royal family has released a series of stunning photos taken on Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding day, showing the smiling newlyweds posing proudly with their adorable wedding party and proud parents.

The four photos were taken by Eugenie and Jack’s official wedding photographer Alex Bramall, who captured the intimate images at Windsor Castle and later in the day at the private dinner reception held for the couple at Royal Lodge.

The first photo shows the princess and her new husband posing in one of the grand rooms at Windsor Castle. Eugenie is seen standing tall next to her grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip, with her proud parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew nearby.

Jack is flanked by his own parents, George and Nicola, as well as his brother, Thomas, who supported the new royal at the alter on Friday. Seated in the front row are the bride and groom’s adorable bridal party, including little Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who hilariously look rather fed up with the day’s formalities.

As with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding, the palace also released a more intimate black and white photo of Eugenie and Jack. The pair are pictured sharing a kiss in the back of their carriage upon its return to Windsor Castle following the carriage procession.

The fourth picture is one that’s sure to draw plenty of oos and ahhs as it shows the princess’s glamorous reception dress for the first time.

The stunning blush gown was designed by Zac Posen, who said he was inspired by the beauty of Windsor and the surrounding countryside when designing the evening dress. According to the royal family, the choice of colour reflects the blush of an English rose, and Posen took his inspiration from the White Rose of York.

The pin-tucked plissé of the dress was cut on the bias and mixed with signature drapes. The White Rose of York is subtlety embroidered on both the shoulder and back, which held together the cape, and the silk for the gown came from Biddle Sawyer Silk.

Princess Eugenie also wore diamond and emerald drop earrings, which were a Wedding gift from the her new husband.

In a touching gesture from her grandmother, Princess Eugenie also wore a hair slide belonging to the Queen. Queen Victoria’s Wheat-Ear Brooches were originally commissioned by William IV in 1830 for Queen Adelaide. They were passed down to Queen Victoria in 1837, and eventually to The Queen in 1952. Her Majesty has worn them as both hair slides and brooches.
