Prince Harry has shared an adorable behind-the-scenes snap of his wife Meghan cradling her baby bump on the final day of their royal tour in New Zealand.

Despite the thousands of photos taken of Meghan during the whirlwind royal tour, this latest snap is extra special. In the gorgeous picture, the Duchess of Sussex is seen standing in a beautiful forest in Rotorua, New Zealand, holding her growing baby bump as she smiles back at the photographer — her husband, Prince Harry.

The stunning photo was shared to Kensington Palace’s official Instagram page on Friday. The palace confirmed the photo was snapped by Harry as the couple wandered through the forrest after their Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua on Wednesday.

The royal couple also took the opportunity to thank those who met with them throughout their 16-day Commonwealth tour.

“Thank you New Zealand for the most wonderful last week of our tour. It has been a privilege to meet so many friendly Kiwis. Australia, Fiji, Tonga and NZ – we leave feeling inspired and reminded of how every single one of us can make a difference.”

The post also included a quote from Kate Sheppard, New Zealand’s most prominent suffragette: “The rain that refreshes the parched ground, is made up of single drop.”

Royal fans were quick to comment, with one writing: “Lovely shot keep spreading the love.”

Another added: “Love the words and the shot! What an amazing couple. We loved having you in Australia!”

Eagle-eyed fans also pointed out that the black jacket Meghan is pictured wearing belongs to Harry, who was pictured wearing it earlier in the week when the couple visited the Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand.

The royal couple appeared particularly spellbound by the natural beauty of New Zealand as they travelled across the country’s north island. The last day of their epic intercontinental tour was especially memorable as they were greeted by a spectacular pōwhiri, a traditional Māori welcoming ceremony involving speeches, dancing and singing, when they arrived in Rotorua.

The couple watched in awe as hundreds gathered to perform the powerful ceremony, leaving the Duke and Duchess visibly moved.

Harry and Meghan flew home to London from Auckland on Thursday following their jam-packed tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.

However, it seems the pair will only have a few days to recuperate, before heading into a busy week of engagements. Harry is set to visit the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday, before the royal couple attend Armistice Day next Sunday.

Kensington Palace announced that Meghan is pregnant last month, just hours after the royal couple touched down in Australia for their first intercontinental tour together. The royal family said the baby is due in spring, 2019, but didn’t confirm the exact month or due date.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” a statement from the palace said at the time.
