Prince William ‘very touched’ by the outpouring of support for the Royal Family amid health challenges

Amid ongoing health challenges within the Royal Family, Prince William has expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support pouring in from the public.

The public’s support for the Royal Family during this difficult time was evident during William’s recent visit to Surplus to Supper where he encountered a touching display of kindness from 71-year-old volunteer Rachel Candappa.

Amid greetings and conversation, Candappa presented the royal with two heartfelt get-well-soon cards—one addressed to King Charles and the other to the Princess of Wales.

Prince William, visibly touched by the gesture, expressed his appreciation, stating, “Thank you, you are very kind.”

Responding to Candappa’s request to look after his wife, the future king, with a reassuring hand on her shoulder, solemnly replied, “I will.”

Reflecting on the exchange, GB News Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker observed that William “was very touched when he was handed those two get well soon cards.”

“But he didn’t go into any detail about the princess’s condition, as perhaps you would expect,” Walker explained.

“I think it’s very easy to put a brave face on, and you could really see that Prince William was very much engaged with the work that he had here,” Walker said.

“He does want to continue as normal with his public work, behind the scenes with the Earthshot Prize, and with the Surplus Food Initiative, which he’s been supporting and spotlighting today.”
