The ongoing rift within the Royal Family has reached a critical juncture, with Prince Harry finding himself at the centre of escalating tensions.
As experts note the deepening divide between Harry and his family, there’s a growing call for him to heed the words of his late mother, Princess Diana.
While speaking with GB News, royal commentator Michael Cole highlighted the absence of a meeting between Harry and the King during his recent visit to London. This absence, he suggested, symbolises the strained relations within the family.
“The fact that the King has not found time during the three days that his younger son has been in London to see him is a definite right royal flea in the ear for Prince Harry,” Cole said.
Cole also pointed out the bitterness evident in recent exchanges between Harry and the Royal Family, particularly the allegations made in Omid Scobie’s book Endgame.
These accusations, directed not only at the King and Queen Camilla but also at Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine, have exacerbated tensions within the family.
“A lot of people around the country and around the world will be saying about time to what Harry and his wife have said, either directly or through their amanuensis and fan Omid Scobie in his book Endgame,” he explained.
“It’s been very, very bitter. Very hard, very cruel allegations against, not just the King and Queen Camilla, but Prince William and his wife, who as we know, is being treated for an as yet undisclosed form of cancer.
“Nothing could actually be worse in a family to have this division of bitterness and unkindness, and words have power, actions have consequences, and I think that’s what we’re seeing played out here.
“The division between the California hilltop Camelot and the British Royal Family, getting on with the job, is now very, very deep. The divisions are stark…and between indeed the Spencer family and the Windsors.”
Reflecting on Princess Diana’s legacy, Cole reminded Harry of her belief in support and love among siblings. He urged Harry to consider his mother’s words moving forward.
“The late and always much missed Diana, she loved her boys and always thought they would be there for each other,” Cole said.
“She made them promise when they were quite small boys that they will always love and support each other.
“I hope while he’s in the city back in London and even flying out to Nigeria, I hope he thinks about what his mother said.”
As the rift between Prince Harry and the Royal Family persists, the wisdom of Princess Diana serves as a reminder of the importance of family bonds. Whether Harry will heed this advice remains to be seen.
