Prince George is sick of school

Life as one of the most adorable and beloved royal figures can be hectic when you’re jetting off to different countries, causing a social media frenzy with every outfit you wear, and meeting leaders of the free world in your bathrobe. But it seems Prince George might prefer a bit more variety in his daily life.

Just three weeks after George started at Thomas’s Battersea in London, he’s reportedly bored with the monotony of it all.

Louise Smith, who also has a child at the school, reportedly met the Duke of Cambridge at the school drop-off on Tuesday.

“He told me he’d just dropped Prince George off at school and he didn’t want to go. Sounds a bit like mine, really,” Smith said.

The dread of an impending day at school is a familiar experience for many, but for a young prince it might just be compounded when he’d prefer to head overseas with his uncle for the Invictus Games, or stay at home with his parents as they await the arrival of the newest royal baby.

Prince William had, of course, predicted his son’s declining interest when George first started school.

“We are all seeing how long that lasts before he doesn’t want to go,” William said of his son’s enthusiasm to begin attending Thomas’s Battersea.

A video released by the Kensington Royal Instagram showed George approaching his new head of school with a little apprehension, clinging tightly to his father’s hand at every opportunity.

The prestigious London day school has seen a recent increase in security thanks to a break-in earlier in September, though the young royal was not thought to be in attendance at the time of the incident.

Did you love attending school, or were you a reluctant student?
