Olivia Newton-John’s husband delivers a ‘truly beautiful’ tribute on the second anniversary of her passing

An adoring public quickly praised Easterling for his “truly beautiful” words in remembrance of Newton-John.

“Beautiful love,” one wrote.

Easterling also shared heartfelt words when he announced her passing on social media, touching many with his emotional tribute.

“Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” he said at the time.

“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the @onjfoundation.”

Following Newton-John’s passing, thousands gathered at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Sunday, February 26 2023 to honour and bid a final farewell to one of the world’s “greatest talents”.

Fans joined friends and family to honour the entertainment icon with a number of heartfelt tributes pouring in from high-profile figures from near and far.

Among the first to pay tribute to Newton-John was Easterling who described his late wife as the “most courageous” woman he has ever met.

Following Easterling’s emotional speech, Newton-John’s daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, took to the stage to remember her mother, revealing that her “heart is broken in two”.
